SOCIAL REFORMERS

WE HAVE ALLOWED SOCIAL REFORMERS TO DESTROY OUR HOMES
In a real Latter-day Saint home there is no such thing as a generation gap. We never heard of it until a few years ago, and where did it start? It started with some of these so-called social reformers, these do-gooders who are used as tools of the adversary to drive young people away from their parents and to get parents to let down in their responsibility to give guidance and direction to their own children. (Teachings of Ezra Taft Benson, 406)

Now it came to pass that there were many of the rising generation that could not understand the words of king Benjamin, being little children at the time he spake unto his people; and they did not believe the tradition of their fathers. (Mosiah 26:1)
And thus were the Lamanites afflicted also, and began to decrease as to their faith and righteousness, BECAUSE of the wickedness of the rising generation. (3 Nephi 1:30)

WE LET OUR CHILDREN FOLLOW THESE REFORMERS
“Christianity will go,” he said. “It will vanish and shrink. I needn’t argue about that; I’m right and I will be proved right. We are more popular than Jesus now. (John Lennon 1966 interview with Maureen Cleave)

A FEW TEACHINGS OUR CHILDREN RECEIVE

Imagine there’s no heaven
It’s easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people living for today

Imagine there’s no countries
It isn’t hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people living life in peace, you

You may say I’m a dreamer
But I’m not the only one
I hope some day you’ll join us
And the world will be as one

Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people sharing all the world, you

You may say I’m a dreamer
But I’m not the only one
I hope some day you’ll join us
And the world will be as one

(Lyrics to Imagine If)

It’s funny how some distance makes everything seem small
And the fears that once controlled me can’t get to me at all

It’s time to see what I can do
To test the limits and break through
No right, no wrong, no rules for me
I’m free

…..That perfect girl is gone
Here I stand in the light of day
Let the storm rage on

(Lyrics to Frozen)
